Dear Caden,
Sometimes I work really long hours as a nurse and for this I am sorry. I miss you and your brother terribly while I am away. I often try and think of all people I helped and I just hope that what I did put a smile on one person's face. Tonight, I walk through our front door and you run to me at full speed nearly knocking me over and squeeze me super tight.
"Momma! Where were you?!"
"I was at work, sweetheart. "
I see your furrowed brows release and your clouded face clear up. You let out a huge sigh of relief and smile really big, hugging me tighter.
"Thank goodness! I thought you were in jail!"
"Nope. Not this time."
Love,
Mommy

I Call Her Baby
Dear Jacob,
It has come to my recent attention that you were loving all over a cute little girl in your classroom.
When I asked you about her, you responded with, " I have a 'gurlfren' "
"You have a girlfriend?!"
"I have three."
"What's her/their name?"
"I call her Baby."
"You're a stud muffin."
"Muffin? I wanna a muffin!"

Mommy

Reflections of Neverland
Dear Jacob,
The end of the day is drawing near and you are helping pick up the playroom. All of a sudden you start squealing with excitement, jumping up and down and pointing.
"What is it, Jacob?! Are you ok?!"
"Look, Momma! Loooook!!!!"
Suddenly I see a small reflection of light twinkle on the wall. You can hardly contain your excitement and you begin dancing.
"Tinkerbell, Momma! It's Tinkerbell!"
I hope you always find a piece of Neverland in your life and that you always believe in Magic.
Love,
Mommy
