Kisses and Ka Tas

Dear Caden,

Today you have hurt your toe about 84 times, and the day is still young. Amid the bustle of noises from your toys I hear a loud "thunk" followed quickly by a wail of pain. You hobble over to me with huge crocodile tears flowing down your cheeks.

"Ow! Ow! Ooowww!"

"What happened Caden? What hurts?"

"My toe!" (Make that 85)

"Does Mommy need to kiss it and make it better for you?"

"Yeah! Kisses!. . . And ka tas! (new word for ketchup)"

If only all of your life's owies were easily fixed with kisses and ketchup. I pray they are for years to come.

Love,
Mommy
